Come and learn this dance art beyond the steps to incorporate proper style and expression.

DANMAR offers you the opportunity to learn Flamenco dance in-person.

Have fun while you learn this espectacular dance style with a lot of art!

 

Depending on your knowledge, we have divided the classes into several levels: Flamenco Intro, for those with no experience at all or have had some experience in the past and would like to get back to track. Beginner, with a minimum of 1 to 4 years of experience, Flamenco intermediate 1 and 2, with a minimum of 3 to 6 years of experience and teacher’s approval,  Flamenco Advance for those students with a vast knowledge on flamenco dance, more than 7 years of experience and teacher’s approval, and Flamenco Technique 1 & 2 which are a multilevel classes to complement the learning. DANMAR offers Flamenco students the option to participate in the Spring Recital

and/or Winter Recital as part of the learning process of this discipline.

 

ONLY FOR PEOPLE LIVING IN KATY, TEXAS AND ITS SURROUNDINGS.

Fundamentals of a Spanish art form. The class focuses on body posture, turns, footwork, hand & arm movements, and coordination, basic choreography and progressive technique and the eventual incorporation of castanets and palma

FLAMENCO INTRO & BEGINNER

This course is aimed at students with basic knowledge about flamenco dance. In order to develop this class properly, it is important to learn zapateado, positions and movements of the arms, hands, hips, marcajes and the main twists used in flamenco. The technique is very important for the proper development of movements and also for your physical health. It will help you avoid future injuries.

FLAMENCO TECHNIQUE 1 & 2

This class is aimed at students who know the basic techniques and movements applied to markings with binary and mixed compass. Variations of zapateado used in the different flamenco palos, the most common forms of contratiempos in binary and mixed time, and the typical exercises to increase speed are worked on. The flamenco advance course is designed for students with a good command of the technique and knowledge of flamenco mastering most of the flamenco styles, as well as have experience dancing to live singing and guitar music.
